Just trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong..
I put a set of 41MM FCR FLatslides on my 1998 HONDA CBR 900rr and it runs great... Except for one thing.. when I'm on the Highway and have the bike cranked wide open for 2-3 mins at say 270kmh and then let off the throttle ...its like my gas tank is completly EMPTY... The motor shuts off unless I pump the living crap outta the throttle about 12-15 times... SO i'm guessing that Its something to do with how I have the carbs plumbed in.. I'm also thinking that I must be emptying the float bowls..hence why there is no gas .....
I've got the jetting almost pefect.... but I think it has something to do with the Ram air setup I'm running on it... I installed a Ram air box to pressurize the airbox to gain a little more power...and was told that because Im pressuring it up now I have to have the same pressure in the float bowls or its not going to run right... So I ran some tubing from the float bowls into 2 - 90degree fittings that are tapped into the air box in order for the bowls to see the same pressure.. At low speeds..under 200kmh it runs flawlessly.. maybe are these holes at the wrong place... ??
Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong..?
