bike to bike radios
Awhile back there was a discussion about bike to bike radios, chatterbox radios.
Did anyone follow through and get one of these systems.
And if so, how do they work, good, bad, sometimes under certain conditions?
My wife is starting to re-learn biking after along time and it would seem to be a perfect system to keep us together going in the same direction and when in traffic.
Anyone have any knowledge they could share?
I have a chatterbox setup for me and my gf. It works great for in the city but once you hit 100km on the highway all I hear is wind noise. For the cost of them I dont think they are worth it.

I put a down payment on a set of gmrs-x1 models.
I think that I will get a fair bit of use out of the mp3 and cell phone connections and I hope to avoid at least one speeding ticket.
Just last nite my wife and I where riding around the neighbourhood and probably didn't go over 80 for more than 5 minutes out of the two hours. But I am expecting it to work on the highway so I'm concerned. Do you use full coverage helmets?
Thats the chatterbox I have. I do use a full face helmet and I still cant get rid of the wind noise. Ive tried positioning the mic in lots of different ways but I just gave up. The music input is nice but unless im on a long trip I prefer the sound of my engine.
