Down in flames!
-I'm supposed to be in Anacortes right about now but instead I'm sitting at home on what is probably the best day of the fall for a ride. Damn.
Left for the Oyster Run from the Swan nice and early with a group of buddies when about 1 km into the ride I get told to pull over. Yeah right, you just want to get ahead... no really PULL OVER!
I figured this time he's serious as he's trying to cut me off the road. Sure enough I'm told to get the &%&#$@ off the bike. Damn thing's on fire! -Thanks Paul.
Well if it wasn't for the lady who stopped in her pickup and gave us her extinguisher we would have just had to watch it burn to the ground. It looks like the fire started from an electrical short on the fuel pump relay so I guess it could have been alot worse.
So now what to do? I managed with a friend to push it to my brother's place which fortunately was only about a km away. Do I bother with an ICBC claim or just get it fixed myself? There's not too much damage, a new relay, fuel pump, plastic, ect.
-Has anyone here had any fire claims with ICBC?
