I am not Michael Jackson
I thought I had a faulty CCT but now I am not so sure. The engine was beginning to make some rattling sound indicitive of a failing CCT/CCTL. But now its intermittent. The rattling sound is there normally during downshifts as the engine is reving down.
The more persistant noise is now a brushing noise at idle. Would that be the sound of the fuel injectors?
I purchased a manual CCT from APE thinking it was the CCT so now I am wondering if I should replace (winter project) cause it could be the start of the CCT going or donn't fix it unless it's broke.
damn broken leg!!!!!!!
Without hearing the noise it is pretty near impossible to diagnose. That said, if it is the CCT and you wait until it breaks you could/will be looking at much more major repairs. Deal with the noise sooner rather then later. The ol' girl is telling you something, better listen
agreed, you already have it so put it in..
