If someone wants to get a scooter but doesn't have their regular liscense,
can they operate a scooter (the 50cc or less, limited speed, etc..) with a Class 8L liscense? or a 7L liscense?
The ICBC website was fairly ambiguous:
"You are permitted to operate a Limited Speed Motorcycle with any class of driver's liscense. You cannot operate on a learner's liscense other than the class 6 or 8 motorcycle liscense"
BCSB search yielded only this thread which was at best, speculative...
So what's the bottomline?
For liscenses from 5-8, you can operate with a 5, 6, 6L, 6L+MST, 7, 8, 8L, 8L+MST?
However with Class 8L, you require a 25+ supervisor with Class6?
Then, if you do your MST on a Scooter, then supervisor, speed (haha.. like you're likely to exceed the restricted speed anyways on a little scooter), etc restrictions are removed... but you're restricted to limited speed motorcycles (or the <200cc bikes only and no passengers restriction that goes with the size)
Can anyone verify this to be true?
