    crank case clutch lever

Can anyone tell me how to remove/install the clutch lever coming out the crank case on a cbr f4(part #4 in the diagram below)? It seems to just be pressed in, but not really sure.

The service manual doesn't give any special procedure; it just says to remove it (after removing the clutch cover).

look for a snap ring clip....you might have to push the shaft down to see it....or there might be a retaining screw that you have to remove....or least possibile remove the oil seal and check for a clip...don't know that engine well but most engines are like this....

once you have the cover off the bike(have to take it completely off) it will come out np.when pullin the cover off make sure to turn the clutch lifter counter clockwise as it hangs up on the pushrod, this will free it as you pull on the case.it can be a bitch to pull off.
