I've a couple of question for the amateur or pro photographers on the forum. I'm planning to retire my 2+ year D-SLR, and get a Canon 20D.
Locally, I've seen prices ranging from $1730 to $1800 for the body. However, I found a website http://www.cameracanada.com/ that sells the body for $1708 and you get a 1GB CF card to boot. Any better deals locally on a new body?
Has anyone had any dealing with this company? I might consider ordering from these guys as I can instantly save 7% as I wouldn't pay any PST on the camera (they're based out of Toronto). Outside of the obvious difficulties in 'going back to them for repairs or rma', is there anything else I should be wary of?
Anyone have or experienced the 17-85 IS USM f/4.0-5.6? Opinions? It looks like a good all-around walking lens, albeit the same 1.1lbs as the more expensive "L" class limited range 17-40 F/4L.
