Gaaaaaaaah, I have to post it here so I feel even stupider and more embarrassed and never do it again.
SO i'm parking at work this morning and head up to my spot... not thinking, hit the kill switch and then let out the clutch before my engine has fully stopped. The bike makes a hop, the bars are turned a bit, I tried to hold it up but the angle is too great by then. Down I go with my 500lb heavily faired cruiser.
Luckily I brought it down gentle enough that it came to rest on my front fairing and only scuffed it on the left, no cracking... and that saved my left cylinder head from touching the ground... but I snapped my left mirror clean in two, cracked my left side fairing, and scuffed my luggage. Spilled some acid from my battery and some coolant got out of the expansion tank to boil away on my exhaust (and scare me a bit with the smoke coming up).
Anyways I'm pretty pissed at myself. The mirror broke inside the ball joint and so is on the bench with industrial epoxy in it right now - should be as good as new. The fairing however will always have an ugly crack though despite epoxying it back together. I am just glad my front fairing is OK.
