just another textbook landing for Korean Airlines. That's one of my favourite landing clips ...
I've seen similar landings while on the airfield at YVR. Also one where the engine struck and a few aftermaths of the fuselage hitting the runway on takeoff (A320) and a bunch of other crazy stuff ...
That looks like Kai Tak (hope i've spelled that right) in Hong Kong. Apparently the prevailing wind there is always at some significant angle to the runway, so most of the landings are slipped like that and then kicked straight at the last second.

Yup, that's HK.
'47's can rotate their main gear LOTS so as to accomodate heavy crosswind landings...this is not unusual! try flying a small plane in heavy winds then you'll know what puke factor is all about!!!
Sex is like driving a honda: Slow, Obscene, and so loud it wakes your neighbors!
As a passenger I would piss myself..
Thats' Kai Tak in HKG, 70 deg bank to starbord, a quik left (just enuf time to watch the people in their living rooms in the apt buildings watching tv) and then straight onto final........miss that airport, not the same excitement on landings with the new one there. If you guys think thats rough, watch this TAP airline do a missed approach in HEAVY wind shear !
I would be saying "i think i just shit myself" when we landed.
I've actually heard a BA pilot request a 'fresh pair of knickers' over tower frequency after sliding his 747 while trying to make a high speed taxiway after landing!Originally Posted by PressurePoint

id be first in line to change my shorts. And I got a feeling id be yelling
The runway was wet, he coulda pulled that out. Chicken
now that's some serious piloting. The dude made that 747 handle like a jet fighter!
