I don't know how many times this has happened, but ya know , I'm damn near sick of it .
Not that I would expect all of you to know me , but I have been in the bike business for almost 30 years now , and when I try to sell something , I always get some lo-ballin smuck , that thinks he's doing me a favour buy taking what I'm selling off my hand's.
First off , when I do sell something, I price it so it will be a good deal to the buyer, and the seller , and everyone will walk away in the end, a happy camper.
Secondly Do people read all that has been posted ? I mean I don't know how many times I have asked people who want to reply, please reply to this address (insert address here ) no PM's please And in a matter of minutes I get a PM and “Buttplug” asks me to send a picture of said item for sale .......In "The Champ's Voice" .....I loose it ! Maybe you can send pictures on PM"s ( but I haven’t figured out that part yet ) If you were to send me a reply to the address provided , I wouldn't have to spend countless hours resizing pictures to fit on a public forum, and asking you to send me an address to send the freekin pictures to ?
I think that when I do say something, I MEAN IT ! If there was something wrong with what I am selling .....I WILL POST IT ! I'm not here to try to rip people off ? Nor am I here to get rich of tight assed people who will go to no end to grind me down 35 cent's . I know I have pissed some people off with my quick reply's Go F#ckyourself answer's but I'm getting sick of trying to make someone happy , and ask a fair price ?
Example : I posted I have 2 Yosh RS3 bolt on's for sale Buyer #1 answer's my post to my address posted (thanks ) ask's for some pictures, get's the low down on the pipe , and gladly sends me a money order, and he receives the pipe VIA Greyhound......end result.1 happy seller, and 1 happy buyer.
Potential buyer #2 PM's me already I'm thinking .....Can this guy ride a bike ? kuz I know damn well he can't read, or maybe it just get's jumbled from the time he reads it to the milla second it takes him to send me a PM . then after posting the pipe for only 2 weeks , buddy sends me a email offering me $100....$50 less than what I was asking in the first place ? I know it's hard not to haggle a price, BUT do ya know a god price when ya see it ? E.g.: Yosh RS3 brand new is anywhere between $400-$500 + tax add another $70....so ya have $470-$570 This item used should be around 60 % of new or less pending on the shape and history of the said unit. I am asking around 25% of new , and expect to get it , or I'll keep it till my lawn mower need's a new muffler........I aint giving it away to someone I have never met or to someone who hasn’t done shit for me ......would you ?
Example #3 I buy ICBC bikes , it takes a licensed bidder to buy these things, and to do that, you need to be a ICBC body shop or garage . I buy this 2005 SV 650 with only 405 km on it , it has been very lightly damaged , and can be ridden away with nothing but a broken front signal indicator to get it certified for road use . I paid $3600 + tax on this bike , and some fuckin tightass that has access to ICBC bidding sheet’s PM’s me to say [quote] I know what you paid for the bike, I’ll give you $3700.
Well if you took the time to factor in the taxes , you would come up with a figure like $4075.00 So why would I sell it to some dumbfuck for $300 less than what I paid for it ? I was asking $5500 taxes in , and the bike would be transferred into your name all for $5500 Even if I sold it for $5000 it would still cost you(the buyer) $500 in taxes to transfer it into your name , so either way, it’s going to cost you $5500…….why not let the seller get the $ instead of the Government ? they already collected tax on it once ?
Kind of a long rant , but it’s off my chest now , and it’s time for people to reply with ……..the tax on $5500 is only $486 or Yosh RS3 sell for $200 in Tennessee
So .....Are people tight assed , or they just have to haggle ?
