That's better. Thanks!
Here's one of the bike.
go to thumpertalk.com. they have all the info you need on that bike, go to to klx forums. i'm sure you'll get all the pros and cons to that bike.
THE MOST DANGEROUS PART OF A BIKE, IS THE NUT THAT CONNECTS THE SEAT, TO THE HANDLEBARS.
Nice bike but it is a little weak for anything faster than highway use...it will do 100+ kph but it is workin hard to do it....it is great if most of your ridin is in town commuting... great for forest service roads, exploring country roads, and "jeep trails" you can strip it down and trail ride it but the tank is steel and will dent when you fall...depending on use and your experience i would lean toward the DRZ400...a little heavier and taller but heaps more power and not much more in price...much better in the woods and i think the range is better...best thing is to go ride them....I am also lookin for the same kinda bike and have tried them all.....and yet to find the perfect one...thats why I need a bunch of different bikes....
Remembering Bill Mclean.
Having had a colonoscopy......I have now seen where the sun don't shine......(Me)
It would be a great city/fireroad bike. You wouldn't be going down the hwy to Hope with it many times but it will probably run flawlessly for 10 years.
That about sums up my intended use for it. I love the forks on it, Its light, and it seems more of a Dirtbike with the bare essentials to make it street legal which is what I am after. More of a country road, and offroad adventure bike. And also somethin I can boot around on during the winter months to get my riding fix.Originally Posted by Mr.Sushi ya ha

Sorry I didn't post a picture before..oops!
Dirtbikes a DP's are kind of hard to really test unless you can actually take them offroad for a good trial, and I havn't ever hear of a dirtbike demo day
Another think I am not to sure about with the Kawi is the range. I would like somethin I could ride from Harisson to Pemberton on the logging roads on

The 250 KLX gets around 4 hrs to a tank offroad there really good on gas
Oh ohhh I am really gettin that urge to Splurge feeling right now....I think I am heading to Maple Ridge Motorsports!
just outta curiosity are MX helmets street legal, or should I use my street helmet?
thanks for the imput everyone...I am now the proud owner of an 06 KLX 250.
I took it for an hour and a half test ride today on road (and off ) It is everything I need and then some. It has plenty of power, and actually goes like stink for a little 250. And because they decreased the engine size from 300 down to 250...CHEAP INSURANCE!!!
Its just such a different feeling being on a dirt bike...just get that I wanna go anywhere I dam well please feeling! roads or not! lol
I am gonna be lookin for other Dual Purpose riders on here to go riding with, who can hopefully show me some cool off road places that I dont know about.
Pick it up on Wed or Thur. Shit I am excited all over again like when I got the f4i
Congratulations! I'd like to join you on some of those rides. I need a trail bike first though. . .
