Take the time to reflect,
as 9-11 approaches,
I still find it hard to believe...
Who am I to be raising this issue?
On 9-11 a lot of things were brought to my attention- like
the importance of my family and how much I take life in the
free world for granted.
- My friend is part of the US Navy and left on an aircraft carrier on Sept 13th to Afghanastan
-My cousin is part of the medical team at St Pauls , it is the closest trauma center to the towers and she is part of one of the pictures that you see in this link
If you look at the picture you might see that the medical staff are all standing around. My cousin said that moment was the most helpless time for all the medical staff- they were trained and schooled to aid in a time like this. No one came- they were all trapped or had passed already.
-My Aunt and Uncle were in Vancouver vacationing and were scheduled to fly out that morning back to New York
so for me this event was close to home...
All I have to say that is just imagine jumping to your own death.
Those pictures are the ones that get me crying every time.
