NYE Wife is out of town and bored out of my mind

My wife is out of town and it's NYE and I'm bored out of my mind. Is anyone else in the same boat or am I alone with one tonight?

I did not have a gig and my wife went to bed early.
I clipped my dog’s nails and watched the tube.
I cut into the quick and it bled.
I put some H202 in a small bowl and dipped the paw in.
When I was not looking the dog drank the H202.
    Then the dog barfed.
    A lot.

Yup it’s Hydrogen Peroxide, it’s commonly used to induce vomiting, as well as a disinfectant, the weak drug store stuff not the high test rocket stuff. Hey this reminds me of the time I swallowed gasoline when siphoning, but I did not barf. It turns out if I had barfed, I might have died from the upchucked gasoline vapors getting into my lungs.

And here is the Black Knight engine bay, with its 4 chambers. This is an early Gamma 201. Work in the last 40's and early 50's at the Rocket Propulsion Establishment (RPE) at Westcott in Buckimhamshire led to motors named Alpha, Beta and Gamma respectively. This Gamma 201 uses the chamber developed at RPE.
Each chamber could swing in one direction - radially (i.e., inwards and outwards) - and used in combination, could control the vehicle in any plane. The motor burned high test peroxide and kerosine in a ratio 8.2 : 1.

Just assuming no one knows what a quick is, aside from Chumly, half of a dogs nail has a vein in it, and if you cut too much it clips it.

Poor doggie T____T but im sure the peroxide made him forget all about it ^___^

    Fun with pets 101

If you're gonna cut your own dogs' nails, go to a pet supply shop and get some Kwik-Stop styptic powder. It's only 10 bucks.

Put a pinch on the cut nail and apply gentle pressure for half a minute and the bleeding should stop.
(I grind my dogs' nails, using a Dremel w/sandpaper drum.)

Peroxide is also used to induce vomiting.

Keep it on hand in case the dog swipes your stash off the coffee table and eats it .
Doesn't take a lot of it to make them hurl and if the stash is bagged you might even be able to recover some of it...
    RIP Julia, our shining light

Hey I have a Dremel (OK it's a Dremel clone) but no styptic powder, both great ideas. Thanks! Odd thread: barfing, rocketry, dogs, new years, drinking gas, power tools......
