    i need help installing a starter clutch

    hey i have a 90 ex500 ... and i think the starter clutch is gone on it .. it spins but doesnt grab...is it easy to fix, and does anyone know a good backyard mechanic to take it too for other stuff ?

    It depends a lot on the bike but it should be an easy and cheap fix if you can source the parts. Check around and see if there's an online service manual for your bike. If you're mechanically inclined, there's little that you can't get done without it. There aren't many people on here that do work on the side out of their homes that I'd trust with my bike. Find a shop you trust and get to know them or learn to do it yourself.
