    Band of Brothers Sunday Night

I just wanted to put in a plug for the TV series Band of Brothers that's on Global TV this Sunday at 10:00 pm. This 10 part series is based on the book of the same name that follows the exploits of Easy Company (US 101st Airborne Division) from the latter stages of basic training, through D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge to the end of WWII. If you did not see this series on Movie Central last year I would highly recommend that you watch this time around. It's produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks and has the same quality and realism (battle scenes) as the movie Saving Private Ryan. In short, it is an excellent program and is a cut above the usual fare one finds on TV.

Just wanted to give this show a plug because it's on TV again, this time on the History channel (44), Thursday nights from 10:00 - 11:30 (approx.). The first two episodes have already aired.

Check it out if you have not already seen it.

An excellent show. I first watched it when it appeared on HBO, and life was a blur between episodes.

Band of Brother pwns, I recently rewatched it again. I read somewhere that they are going to do BoB 2, following some other unit. That'd be cool.

I was surprised at how levelled it was.
being a Spielberg-Hanks american production, I expected more pro-american BS, but it was actually quite objective, impartial..I thought.
    I'd watch it again anytime.

Do ur self a favour and rent the series $10 at Rogers Video. No commercials etc..and if you get into the flow you can keep going. PLUS the last cd is a mini doc. with the boys from the 101st being interviewed. Very moving, heartwrenching stuff

I'd like them to make one about boys comming from the East towards Berlin,But I guess I'm biased...

I liked that each episode was shot from a different soldier's perspective. It was great.

I got it off of ebay for $15usd + shipping.

It advertised it was legitimate until it showed up with chinese characters on the box. The guy was then booted off ebay before I could leave my feedback.

Yeah, I'd like to see it from the soviet's perspective. lots of dumb shit in those years, but you gotta respect the sacrifices.

Well, if you like to see things from other perspectives, Stalingrad is a good place to start as well.
