motor starved of oil??
yea.. it didn't cease or anything but at the end u can hear that ticking.. metal on metal, and it was done
That was pretty cool before the eng died.
I was just rolling on the throttle on my way to....(outer space)
Full Honda warranty!!!!
would that kind of thing be covered? assuming they thought the bike was always on two wheels..
Dont think so as soon as they see the abuse they will flag you
Not hard to see the abuse on a stunted bike...
re-build a possibility or did it fuck things up real good in there?
anyway to prevent the oil from pooling and have some sorta return to the moter, to prevent this?
yea u can get some pickup that prevents it.. bit of a bxtch to install though.
rebuild is possible yea.. but you'd have to replace the rods, and you can't buy one because they are balanced and matched in sets of 4... at about 100 bucks each (per rod). you'd also likely need a crank which is about 500 at the dealer .. then there's the labour.
i paid 900 for an '01 motor which i'm quite sure had only about 15k or so on it, if that. and i installed it with the help of a buddy which was free.. so.. way better just to swap in
Not many people can say they passed the design limitations of their motorcycles (unless it's a HD (except vrod))
and you got it on film +1
You know, I can see doing that with a roach bike just for fun ... but what kinda moron can't figure out that theres gonna be no oil flow???
You OK? I'm pretty fucking far from OK! - (Pulp Fiction)
i didn't know morons come in different varieties
How do you know when the oil flow stops then? Let's say we are going up the steepest hill that you can imagine, how can you be aware that the oil will stop flowing?Originally Posted by FJRpilot
Or is their a certain angle limit? Just curious b/c there are some damn steep hills in Burnaby.
Does your bike not have a low oil pressure light?
