SUPERSTOCK ? not really *not a spolier *
watching superstock ,its cool and all ,and seeing the yami's with the ohlins kits and all is cool when nobody else can rock that in superstock .
but why not like the isle of man does it ,,complete factory ,off the shelf stuff, only mods are bodywork for safety concerns and tires .Then factories would pull shit out of thier ass for the public ,and race sunday BUY monday would be more relevant .
i realise superstock are barely changed ,like fork /shock internals, body ,tires, clip ons ,,rear sets ,,minor stuff.
but open a crate ,out race glass on it and hit the track ,,id like to see that .its cool to see the ISLE of MAN even with the stock fenders in place and stuff.
you might even get a cool pipe from the factory off the crate
i remember reading a guy out a stock r1 ,tail light fender and all and finshed 17th in an AMA race ,,they arent that far off,,give a chance to show what bike is the best out the box with no tricks.other than rider

Now that would be worth watching. Brand loyalty would be at an all time high.
As much as I'd like to see that the manufacturers would never go for it.
Lets say that for the sake of argument, there were 6 zuks in the top 10. Obviously it can't be the riders, so it must be the bikes. Even worse, what if the bottom 5 were rounded out by a single manufacturer? So Zuk makes a better bike than any of the other manufacturers, so why would you buy anything else. You wouldn't. I don't think any of them will take that risk.
They will race modified bikes cause any failures can be blamed on the mods or the ability of the teams to mod them, but stock would be too close a comparison and could cost them a ton of money.
agreed ,but too bad
