I have a "it worked before problem" with fuel flow.
I put fresh gas into the tank this morning and the bike started up for the first time since october. I noticed a small drip of gas so I removed the tank and fuel lines from the petcock.
I fixed the drip and attached the fuel and vacuum lines back to the fuel petcook. There now isn't any fuel flowing to the carbs.
I was able to see the fuel in the inline filter before removing the tank, but it is not flowing anymore.
What I have done:
I did run the bike for a few mintues with the fuel lines NOT connected to the tank (to check for leaks). I hope this didn't cause some kind of air problem in the system.
What I have checked:
-there is gas in the tank.
- the lines aren't crossed.
-the vacuum line hasn't been disconnected from 2nd cylindar.
- tried both positions on the petcock to get the fuel.
- the bike ran fine with the tank installed until gas in the carbs ran out.
Anybody have a solution to this problem?
edit: my bike is an 86 FZ600
