One person was killed and three others suffered serious injuries in three separate motorcycle accidents on Highway 99 yesterday.
An unidentified biker died when his motorcycle left the highway about 35 kilometres north of Pemberton. No other details of the accident were available last night.
A 25-year-old Surrey motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after his bike went over an embankment south of Britannia Beach at about 7:30 a.m. A 23-year-old passenger also suffered serious injuries, including a severed leg, and was airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital.
About four hours after that accident, two motorcycles collided head-on at Magnesia Creek. RCMP said a southbound Yamaha lost control and slid across the centre line, striking a northbound Harley Davidson. The Yamaha rider, a 54-year-old North Vancouver man, is in hospital with serious injuries.
