Whelp I got the Burgman AN400 going no problems, but even with fresh gas and a fully charged battery the Kawasaki KZ440 would not even sputter.
I squirted raw gas into the carb mouths with a turkey baster (the wife will never know) to no effect either, maybe I did not shoot enough in as them CV carbs have a hard to access intake manifold?
No smell of gas from the exhaust pipes. I have an inline spark tester from Princess Auto that flashed when the engine turned over. When I stored it last fall it ran fine although the carbs both had a slow leak from the floats and need a rebuild and the bike ran a bit lean ‘cause of that (I have the rebuild kits but…..)
I set the KZ440 valves and put in new points, and plugs, and timed it, etc before storage last year and the spark advance worked fine then too.
The last thing I did was put a portable fan forced space heater near the intakes / valve covers / ignition coil assembly when it got dark outside, and we’ll see what happens tomorrow when I prep the VFR at the same time. It got dark before I could pull a plug and test it that way.
Did I miss something?
