I have a 99gsxr600 and I was curious if there was any way I could put on a slip on system instead of using the current bolt on application.
The bolt on is much cleaner, in my opinion. It allows us ricers to throw on an aftermarket pipe with a wrench and not a torch...
The reason why slip-ons are used for all the other manufacturers is because they didn't spend the additional money to build that cool little flange into their secondary.
I just realized maybe you got your hands on a slip-on. If that is the case, and you're not scared of frankensteining your factory header, just have a shop chop off the flange and weld on the pipe for you.
