    Back Protector Question

    newbie question ...

I am looking at back protectors like the Knox Ricochet that reaches down to near the tailbone.

When I ride I wear separate leather jacket and pants that can zip together. So if I were to get such a back protector, can i still zip the jacket and pants together?

Do people slip the back protector inside the back of their riding pants in this case? can't imagine that would be comfortable.

Yes I slip the back protector down into my pants and then zip them together, you really don't notice it once your on the bike....

    Ditto to the above.
Make sure you bring your full suit with you when considering purchasing a back protector to ensure it will fit.

it is fine in your pants. back protectors are meant to work the best when they are flush against your body. That way they can disperse the energy from impact properly.
