damn... all i have to say.. this is why i dont want ot learn how to wheelie
"that is no fucking good".... well no shit shirlock, I wonder how he went down. It looked to me like his front wheel was turned and when he brought the bike down it led to disaster!
One of the riding schools in Edmonton teaches you how to do wheelies either on their bike or your own....I was very tempted to take the course but chickened out...
If you wheelie for a while, i'd imagine that your front tire stops spinning, or slows down a lot. When it hits the ground it has to start spinning again rather quickly... Wouldn't that cause a gyroscopic precession, that would turn the handlebars slightly? Not that i've never done it, i'm just asking.

I would love to wheelies and stoppies but the cost of learning and how badly my friends and family would kick my ass if they caught me is not worth it.
That guy sure tumbled. He is going to be covered in bruises.
It's funny the way he said "that is no fucking good" it sounded like he was judging the wheeles and was about to give the guy 2 out of 10 lol
Learning how to do endos and wheelies teaches you how to control your bike making you a better rider.
burses i think hes pritty fucked, looks like his shoes came off and he was in his socks at the end
Didnt help that the bike kept sliding and pushing him down the road, he probally would hvae stopped a lot sooner if he had not been constantly hit by the bike
Where do I sign up!!! Do we get a discount if we fuck up our bikes?Originally Posted by 5thgear
If you touch it down and it starts to tank slap on you, you have to keep on the gas to straighten it out. If you let off the gas and hit the brakes you're gonna be in trouble.Originally Posted by toomuchgsxr
I know that I've had my handle bars go left-right-left after a wheelie but I stayed on the gas and rode it out. Still shit my pants though.
At least he didn't hit anything...other than the ground...over and over again. Good empty street to learn on. His buddies were good and far away from him. It happens. Hard to tell, but I hope he was wearing a helmet.

Putting a wheelie down at a much higher speed than when it was pulled up causes the front wheel to skid up to speed on touchdown. If it's a little crooked it'll cause headshake. If it's really crooked it'll cause massive headshake and possible buck you off. So don't put the front wheel down crooked and you're fine. And for added peace of mind get a dampener.
yah like how bout half off .... as in half of your bike gets shaved off!Originally Posted by elevation
