Simple fact: sportbiking is not the safest of hobbies. Spend enough time 'in the game' and sooner or later, you're made to realize this in one way or another. Over the years, on various boards, I've seen numerous posts regarding serious injury and all too often - serious death.
Some of us may simply shut it out as best we can. Others live in ignorance. Others decieve themselves with 'but I ride safe' mentalities. Whatever. It's your personal acceptance and understanding here, not mine, so you make the call.
I've seen a lot of people who, if one were in a judgemental mood, would simply say 'they don't belong on a sportbike'. Again, it's the individuals own call to make. But I think everyone should do a little self-examination once in a while.
Maybe I don't belong on a sportbike. After all, I've crashed multiple times now, and show no signs of stopping or slowing down. Ooo, maybe for atleast a day, but it's never long before I'm at it again. It is, afterall, an addiciton like any other, and we all dance under an overdose, pushing closer and closer towards the edge...
anyways, my point:
Should I ever meet my end prematurely, the last thing I want is a thread with a bunch of suckasses I hardly know brainstorming for all of 2 minutes before they put in their unorigional and seemingly mandatory 'RIP' comment!
Say something worthwhile, or say nothing at all!
