Well guys (and gals),
So, I've been riding for about 3 weeks now - I took my riding course, passed my MST with 0 demerits, put around 700 kms on my bike (05 Suzuki GS500f). So today, the rain let up for a while and I went riding. I took my twin brother's 04 gixxer 600 (with his permission). So, stopped at a stop sign to turn left onto a residential area road (stop was on a slight incline). I began my turn, seemed a little wide (much harder to turn his 600 at slow speed), but nothing major, and then:
I was watching his bike slide into the ditch and i was on the road. I have no idea what happened. There was a rubber patch where it appears the front wheel slid, but other than that, i can't think of anything that i did to make it do that.
I'm totally bummed, no injuries, just small nick on my knee (through the jeans), my jacket saved the elbow. However, what the hell happened, why would it just dump like that???
Any help greatly appreciated - bike will be running before the end of this week. Also, since the shifter peg broke off, didn't ride it home, put it in a truck, but it seems I can shift through all the gears without using the clutch - this happened to anybody??
See ya on the twisties
