Thursday evening about 6:00 PM I pull into the Esso station at 200St and 72 Ave in Langley and a Suzuki GSX-R600 pulls up to the pump opposite me. As he dismounts and swipes his credit card I say to him, "Hey, when did Suzuki start making a diesel bike?"
He looks over at me and my big-ass cruiser with a dismissive look and says, "Yeah it does sound like it sometimes." He now has the nozzle in hand and is reaching toward his open gas tank.
"Hey dude, do you really want to put diesel into that?", I say.
I get a strange look back and then just before he presses the gas nozzle lever, I can see the light go on as he looks over his shoulder and sees he is at the diesel pump and about to try out a new and very problematic fuel mixture.
After moving his bike forward to the next pump and several "Thanks!", he was filled up with fresh octane and on his way.
The guy did not introduce himself and I could not see his face well in his helmet, but if you know someine with a matching bike who wears black leathers with lots of subdued yellow on the jacket, ask him how the Suzuki Diesel is running.
