Miller Motorsporst Park in Tooele, Utah (20 minutes south-west of Salt Lake City) looks incredible. It has been built to FIM and FIA standards and designed by the same guy that did Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama. Their first big race is in two weeks, an AMA national. Oh course, I am going to work it. Damn, I'm a corner marshalling junkie. It's such an adrenaline hit.
What will be interesting is the ancillary services around the track. To attract the world class events (this track wants a World Superbike round in 2007), there needs to be more than just the track.
When I was calling for hotel space, the people in this little town didn't even know the track was built. They have only two motels in town but I have it on good sources that a Holiday Inn Express is on the way. Boy, are they in for a surprise. This should prove an interesting experience. If I can figure out how, will post pictures. Races are week after next, June 16-18.
