Ok so we're on the weekly 'Hot Chicks Ride' tonight (and a few 'Hot Guy Riders'), and witness a crash scene being cleaned up, and further up, the ENTIRE brigade gets pulled over. Not just some but all 30-40 bikes! I just want to pass on the heads up that we got tonight, and hope that the rest of our experiences with Squamish RCMP are this pleasant. What he had to say was meaningful, he wasn't just badmouthing riders on the S2S he sounded like he just wanted to give us all a heads up to be careful. Its never in your head on your way up "Oh, I think I'm gonna biff her today" but it does happen, and like he said its not pleasant to have to pick up the pieces. He did give us credit for having most group rides at a controlled rate, but basically the main message he wanted to get across was just be careful, ride within your limits, and just know what they are. There's a lot of debris on the road from the ongoing construction, and its not that he was saying they're tired of us and want to ban riders on the s2s, but just simply be careful and don't ride outside your boundaries. Most ppl will prolly read this post and not care, because of the sgt dickheads they've mostly encountered, but we had a good popo tonight, that kindly got his word across and let us be on our way. so be careful up there guys, or anywhere you choose to ride, and just remember what your limits are. all rides eventually meet up anyways, and for those that aren't sure where they're going, don't be afraid to ask someone to hang back before the group takes off, I'm sure an experienced rider wouldn't mind slowing down once in a while to take in the scenery. Ride safe!!
