Update on ICBC and the loser that hit me
Ok...been healing nicely...thanks to all for your concern. Here is what you need to know.
1. Ask for an ambulance right away and TAKE the ride. If you get an ambulance and have to be taken to the hospital, the VANCOUVER police HAVE to attend. If I didn't refuse the ride, the police would have come, gathered witnesses and CHARGED the a**hole who backed over me. He now gets away without so much as a ticket.
2. Do NOT give a statement to ICBC over the phone. They tried this with me. You need a LAWYER, let him do the talking and they will guide you on what you need to do. They charge a percentage so don't worry about the money. Larry Pierce is excellent with dealing with ICBC...don't know if I can plug him here but going to anyway (hope it isn't inappropriate)
3. Get cute witnesses work numbers so you can send her flowers and get her to call you back to thank you ;-)
Looks like my bike needs a ton of parts, I'm just glad I don't :P
Ride safe, and hopefully I will be out with you soon.
You can fix or replace bikes easy, but not people. Glad to hear you're doing ok.

pain and suffering = more money, unless you screwed that part up.
