Taken from a VFR site:
I was on my way back home from Redding Calif. over 299, a beautiful 150 mile twisty mtn. road when I came upon an accident scene involving a biker. He was from British Columbia travelling with a friend and riding a Suzuki SV1000. Evidently this guy had 35+ years riding experience.
Anyway, the details are, travelling at approx. 40mph, deer came out and the guy grabbed a handful of front brake. He went over forward with the bike landing on his head, instantly snapping his neck.
The rest of the way home I was overly cautious as dusk was setting in ( I spent some time visiting with friends in town )when the deer even move more and this guy took his out at 11 a.m.
I hope this isn't anyone we know?
