Hypothetically speaking: if i were to have been caught speeding in the state of Oregon and issued a ticket with fine of $295 US, what are the chances of getting it reduced if i plead "no contest"?
I'm told that the back of the ticket includes instructions on how to plead "no contest", and these instructions would require me to include a letter, explaining the circumstances of the hypothetical incident. So how, exactly, would i beg for leniency? And how good are would my chances be? Cause $295US would be the difference between eating next month or paying the stupid fine.
Hypothetically speaking, i would have been going 93 in a 65 zone in the on an interstate highway in the middle of the mountains in the upper right hand corner of Oregon.
and i thought Oregon didn't have set speed fines and left it up to the judge to set the fine?
