until next season...
geez..sorry to hear that guys!! X( thank god no more wet mousie for me! hehehehe..
it was freezing yesterday though....my hands were frozen numb that's why i wanted to turn back so badly!!! man, need to invest in electric gloves.
i've got a set of gerbing heated gloves... so toasty.. except it gets a bit too hot on the rightside pinky.
speaking from experience, unless you plan to do a LOT of cold weather long-distance riding, they're not worth the hassle.
Plus, when used with a heated vest it really puts the hurt on the charging system.
get a good pair of winter riding gloves, Alpinestars makes an awesome goretex/waterproof/down combo. And your hands won't look like flippy the walrus either.

I like to buy equipment that can be transfered from sport to sport. That way you're not buying a pair of shell waterproof pants for skiing and another for riding, for example. Gloves too; I just use the ski gloves I already own. So, they don't say ALPINESTARS on them, but they probably work way better in keeping you warm and dry, and they won't cost you "sport exclusive equiptment prices".
FYI, there are some pretty aggressive Snowboard/Skiing gauntlets (to fit over sleeves) complete with Kevlar and Padding. Also, if you ice climb, there are similarly padded gauntlets.
"IT'S GOOD ON ICE!!!" (if you don't remember, it's that ad with the Zamboni driving down the road)

Good Luck and Godspeed!
actually alpinestars makes ski equipment =D
not to nitpick, but a gloves still gotta hold up in a crash, a lot of ski gloves would come apart in a crash easily.
