Been having this problem for alittle while. Even after I took it into carter to get fixed.
Problem : Bike will die as if it has no power.
So first thing in the morning I head out to the bike for a nice ride. Check the bike over, hop on and start her up... Starts perfect, choke open letting the bike warm up. As the bike warms up it slowly dies though the rpms and stalls out. If I try to counter this with alittle gas it dies instantly.
Once this happens I try and start it again and it starts and dies right away *sometimes it just cranks and won't start (but the cranking sound doesn't slow down*. It will only run if i let the bike sit for 10 to 15mins.
I first thought it was the R/R or the battery. Why I think that? Well... when i go riding for long periods the battery gets very very hot, i can feel it thought the seat hot! *hasn't been getting so hot after i got it back from carter* Another point is that if i get the bike running, it will run for the rest of the day but if i let it sit for along durration of time, ie. over night. I have problems starting it again.
I took the bike into carter honda on granville and they did a check on the charging system and I have the report saying that the R/R is charging correctly, but they said the battery was very low. So they charged it. ran great till i left it over night again.
Same dang problem again! and im not about to go waste my money again.
Could it be my R/R, battery... or maybe something else?
