hi guys, have some questions for the dog experts out there
i have read a lot of tips on puppy training such as: don't yell at him if he has an accident, be consistent, take him to pee / poo with 15 min of eating / drinking, feed him same time each day, kennel training at night, ignore his cries if he's not needing to pee etc. . .
i need some clarification on some parts though
* if we take him outside to do his thing but doesn't go (how long should we wait, 5 min? 30 min? - just looks bored and sits by the door) do we just bring him inside and let him run around until he looks like he might go?
* do we need to wake him up in the middle of the night to pee (small bladder etc)?
* one book said take him for a walk and don't let him inside until he does his biz but another one said that this teaches the pup that he can take as long as he wants and go whenever he wants
* when he has an accident, apparently we're supposed to take him outside (and say a phrase like 'go pee' or 'outside') and let him finish. We're not that fast, the door is down the stairs and he's done by the time we get halfway out the door. Do we still take him out anyways?
* BTW - he's 11 weeks old
many thanks in advance
