ok, didnt do a search cuz its kind of a weird problem.
so i was on my way to the ferry and bike died, bump start, get it on the ferry (pushing ) anyway, had a loose batt terminal so i tighten it up on the boat and bump start it off the ferry. ride to my destination (hoping it will charge) and nothing. charge the batt get home after the weekend and start checking it over.
batt has about 11 volts with the bike off and anywhere from 12-18 when the bike is on (idle to revved up). funny thing is that after i charged up the batt it will still start and ride. been over a week and it starts without hesitation. take the positive terminal off to see if the bike still runs, well it dies. i just tried a rectifier i picked up from a guy and still no dice. the only thing i can think of is the stator coil is cooked but i've been told its rare for those to go. if it was the batt the bike would still run when i take off the positive terminal. any help would be appreciated!!
bike is a 92 honda F2 with 73k on it.
