After becoming a member of this site years ago I've realized just how many people I've had the pleasure of meeting. It really is awesome to have a 'place' to organize all of these rides and events and meet new people.. after all.. if it weren't for BCSB I wouldn't have met my fiance.
Unfortunately, it also means that more and more reports of riders down hit closer and closer to home. Instead of some obscure news cast about some person, somewhere.. it has become "Oh no, who do I know that was riding there today?" or, even if you don't know who it was, it seems to mean so much more to know that many of the new friends you've made over the years will likely be directly affected by these incidents that are happening.
On my way home from work today I listened to traffic reports every 10 minutes of another rider down on Hwy 3 in Manning Park. Reports were that he/she hit a rock wall and may have needed to be air-lifted out. I've spent the evening since checking BCSB and the RCMP website hoping that someone will have positive news of the outcome of this accident. If anyone has any more information it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.
Ride safe out there guys and gals.
