    first qualifying results from Twin Ring Motegi

    some notables,
    Yanagawa and the Green Machine doing not too bad.

    Surprise, suprise, Laconi and his 3 cylinder F1-like eggbeater in 10th place.

    Proton a little down on power??
    That McWilliams really rides the wheels of that thing.

    I also like Checa's determination. He looked visually much faster than the group in the last round... maybe he's just a nut in the rain.

    What's going on with McCoy this year? He must still not be fully recovered from his injuries. Loved his riding style

    McCoy's finally figured out that full-lock slides in and out of corners aren't necessarily the fastest way around.

    Watching him recently (for the scant few seconds they've had the camera's on him) he's not sliding his bike at all. He's seriously off-form isn't he?

    Could be that he's still in recovery?
