My girl friend and I headed to Victoria this past Saturday. She has been on the back of the bike a few times before, but this was her first long trip. It was super hot and we missed the 9am ferry, but we both had a blast.
We took the exit for Cordova Bay and put-putted through uplands. It was slow, but really beautiful. Plus the ocean helped to keep us cool in the heat.
Parked the bike downtown and went for lunch. Paid $20 for fish and chips (I hate you waiter guy) and then went to go see the underwater garden show. It was pretty cool. Saw wolf eels and an octopus up close.
Got back to the bike to discover my "Welcome to Victoria" message (Parking Ticket) for 15 bucks. argh. Rode back on the (very staright) highway to the ferry and had a great ride back down river road watching the sun set behind the mountains.
