Hey y'all, quick question:
Anyone use Shaw "high-speed lite" internet at home? And if so, how do you like it?
I use Telus DSL right now, and I have for quite a few years. However, that's because the cost was split three ways, making it affordable. But at $40+ a month for Shaw or Telus high-speed, I'm not too keen on paying for it on my own. The high-speed lite is only $25/mth - which is easier to justify.
Now will this lite be just achingly slow to the point where I'm just wasting too much time waiting for things to load? Or is it pretty much okay, so long as I'm not downloading massive torrents day and night?
Right now, I don't download too much music and stuff - but I do watch a fair bit of streaming video online (comedycentral.com, youtube, googlevideo, etc.). Other than that it's just basic email, BCSB, banking, whatever...nothing too heavy.
