i swear to god i fucking hexed or something. just got back on the road and im down again.
ill spare the details, needless to say through 100% fault of my own my bike got dropped on the right side in a parking lot.
the impact didn’t seem very hard, but iv got problems and i need a little insight.
The weight on the end of the right handlebar broke off, for one. and now my throttle doesn’t spring back at all, which is obviously the main problem.
at first i thought maybe the throttle cable had come loose or snapped.
But, when i loosed the housing over the throttle cable pulley, it will spring back (more or less). so i think somehow the pulley itself got damaged or is out of alignment so is rubbing against the housing when its tightened up.
my plan is to remove the cable (or at least slacken it enough) to be able to remove the housing all together to look at it.
any thoughts on this?
its definitely not the rubber rubbing against the housing, because the rubber grip is not on the handlebar anymore.
