    Video editing DVD Output Question

I use Pinnacle Studios for Video editing & am trying to output my finished video onto a DVD. Although Studios has -RW & +R options listed, I am not able to select it. I can only choose the DVD-R option.

The problem is I can watch it on my computer but not my DVD player. I also tried it on a fairly new player w/ no luck.

Any tips on how to make it work like regular hollywood DVDs?

are you actually mastering it like a store bought movie (menu, etc.) or just dropping a file to the drive to burn?

you'll need to master it properly to get a standalone DVD player to use it.

yeah I'm mastering it. I've added the edited the video and added a dvd menu for it. I managed to get it working on one of those cheaper no name type dvd players, but not on the nice ones. Kinda like the same problem with those pirated DVD's.

do you have some kind of region coding on?

make sure it's "global" or whatever they like to call it so that it plays on players of all countries.
