I agree there has been and will continue to be way too many bikes being stolen...
been a victim of bike theft and yes its sucks...feels like rape not that I would know ..haha
anyway just wanted to comment on how I have phoned about 5 race bikes and 4 out of the 5 guys I spoke with stated that they have no VIN# and the vin is shaved off....hmmm!!!! now that is only 4 bikes but all of them have been run at mission this year or last and I bet there are a few more out there.
My question or simply a request be that the race organizors take a key role in helping cure the problem of stolen bikes ending up on the tracks...it is illegal to have a shaved vin# on any motor vehicle...criminal code of canada says so...any excuse such as "I got it form the insurance company or ICBC that way" is all lies and crap...I called an ICBC investigator last week and inquired...they do not shave VIN #'s simple...
Those that I spoke to and mentioned it to seemed to play stupid but when I mentioned the reality they seemed to say not my problem and I didn't know that when I bought it...well too bad dumb ass!!!! possession of stolen property is your problem when you are trying to sell it...time for the POPO to pay you a visit and take away the bikes...but I am hopeful the WWMC will step up and not allow anyone without papers or a vin# on their bike on the track or property of Mission raceway....please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments!!!
