So about three weeks ago I parked my bike right by the crosswalk 'on' Hornby and Cordova [there are yellow markers that bikes were parking between]. There is no 'no parking' sign, and after watching the scooters/bikes park there for quite some time I deemed it a safe spot.
So I parked there successfully for 3-4 times. Then on July 20th I got a @#%$ing ticket. Guess what it said on it,
"PARKED WITHIN 6M OF A CROSSWALK"
Man.. did some parking official have to pull that one out of his @ss.
So fine.. I got a ticket... obviously other bikes got tickets, because no one parks there anymore. The next day I took a picture of it anyway in case of disputing it. But I checked it up in the MVA and yes... it is a violation.
So I paid it... stupidest thing I could've done.....
I WALK INTO WORK TODAY.....
AND THE @#$%ING CITY HAS PUT A PARKING METER RIGHT NEXT TO THE CROSSWALK (on the other side of where I parked - where there IS a NO PARKING SIGN) AND THERE'S A @#$%ING CAR PARKED THERE!!!
I took a picture of this. I'm going to send it in to the paper... This is ridiculous and @#$%ing hypocritical. I'll post them when I get home and can upload them off my camera.
Anyone know where I could possibly make a formal complaint? It'd be nice to be able to get my money back, but I know that would be a loooooong stretch.
I CAN'T @#$%ING BELIEVE IT!
