Twenty-one arrests were made at London’s Heathrow Airport today in connection with a bombing plot involving several aircraft flying from Britain to the United States.
Although it has yet to be determined what impact this event will have on flight activity throughout the world, passengers flying through Canadian airports over the next several days are advised by Air Canada to expect the following:

Effective 12 noon EDT today, liquids or gels in containers of any size will not be permitted to be brought onboard as carry-on baggage on flights to and from the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as on all domestic Canadian flights.
Due to heightened security screening by authorities, it is recommended that customers reduce carry-on baggage as much as possible.
