There is something missing here in the lower mainland for us sportbike junkies. Its October. I have always taking the plates off come September 30th, as the odds of getting free time to ride, daylight, and good weather drop significantly. But this year, I'm down right freaking out.
If I had my way, I'd say come to me and Steve's custom sportbike shop, and you could choose from 3 different kits ranging from $2000 - $5000. One path for the streetfighter look for all those with crusty late 80's and early 90's scoots, and another path for mod'ing out you new ride to make it your own.
No, we won't have a Dyno, but a single bay and hoist and a mechanic thats good and fast. And no, you can't wrench your own here.
Sit in one of the comfy sofas or chairs in the cafe/lounge, put your feet up on a coffee table or two, flip though 100 or so bike mags & catalogs while sipping on a bubbletea. There's a place to hang your gear, a shelf for your lid. Relax while watching non-stop videos of bike action, chattin' with the cute gal behind the counter who makes a wicked espresso by the way. She knows the ins and outs of most bolt on mods (she rides 2 bikes herself and has a dozen single girlfriends that ride too). All this while we change your oil and filter or fix that mod you only got 90% completed the night before and your Injection light is permanently on now.
We got a few accessories, decals, gloves, visors, etc, and even 3 or 4 used bikes we've cleaned up and readied for the road if you're interested. We don't have a franchise, so you won't see a Yamkawahondazuki sign over the door, but damn! We are good, and all your buddies go there for ride meets and just to hang...............the patio in the summer is awesome!
But, alas, an entrepreneur I am not (yet).
I want it. Do you?
