Fork pin for launching?
Is there a technical name for the pin that holds the front fork compressed for launching during race starts?
Where do you buy them? Are the universal? Etc, etc, etc...
EDIT: "Launch Control" http://procircuit.rideshop.com/catal...hp?cPath=5_148
So how do they mount? I have the inverted forks on the DRZ, is it just mounted to the fork cover? Cut a hole in the plastic?

you put one on the fork guard. the first time you hit the brakes, the suspension should be compressed enough for that to pop off. it just puts some pressure on it so your forks don't top out on a hard acceleration off the line. its only for starts though (this part would have zero benefit for street riders), as you'll have to reset it every time otherwise.

The idea is to limit the tendency for the front to come up while trying to keep as much drive going to the rear wheel as possible. Just make sure that you adjust it properly otherwise you can be exiting that first corner with it still locked. As mentioned if its set-up properly it should release when you compress the front suspension as you brake.
