ok so yea.. i spilled coffee on my gf's laptop.. right into the keyboard area.. turned it upside down right away.. not sure if i actually was able to hit the power button in time or if the unit shorted out.. but anyway after 30 seconds i looked at the unit (upside down) and it was off
opened it up.. cleaned it out.. there wasn't THAT much in there.. fortunately the whole cpu area was clear.. but under the keyboard there was a bit.. there was some near the hard drive.. and near the touch pad
so i thought i had it all dry.. ran hot air against it after wiping it for 15 mins.. put it back together
it functions fine.. except some of the keys don't work. i have lifted the individual ones that don't work and they are bone dry underneath (?!?!) .. also i have no internet.. the wireless doesn't work AT ALL although the ethernet connection does..
also the touchpad doesn't work..
so anyway i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on any of the above bits that don't work. i know i will have to open it up again.. but maybe there is something i should be trying that i have not yet thought of and/or don't know about?
