I was recently cut-off by someone pulling out in front of me from the side
of the road and ended up hitting the right side of my bike against the side
of their car. The frame slider took almost all of the force of the collision,
but my upper fairing was damaged as well. The place its damaged is right
above the rad... so after taking a few hours off from riding(after the accident) I started her up, choke on and all, trying to make sure there
was nothing amiss. I noticed that the exhaust headers heated up so much
they were glowing bright red after less than a minute with the choke on.
I've never noticed that before. Do you think it might be a result of the
accident, or is this normal and I've always missed it because I wasn't looking
for anything like that.
