it seems to me that men have been muturing later and later for many decades now. both of my grandfathers were in ww2 and were both enlisted before the age of 18. they had to grow up quick to deal with their situations(one was a tailgunner flying across nazi occupied countries and the other was in the merchant marine-the japanese sunk his battleship and he had to tread water til rescued). i'm just wondering if it is the lack of an all-out world war or life changing times that has retarded the time it takes for a boy to become a man. the hippies of the 60's and 70's kind of started the whole trend of "i'll do what i want cuz it makes me feel good" mantra that has carried on to modern times. thoughts? and yes i am drunk. and yes it took me 24 years to finally become a man(the best i can be).
