Hey everyone, I bought my RR in June of this year and since then put on 8000 kms. It's my daily commuter, rain or shine. It's had it's 1000 km service done from RMS and then it's regular service done at 6,000 k again. So, here is my problem. When I start the bike up, it sounds like a little bit of knocking coming from the middle of the bike. This has been happening for the last week or so. I used to think it was the bike being cold and being started in cold weather (early mornings). Well, today I started my bike in the garage and while in nuetral, I pushed my clutch in only to hear a noise that I have no clue what it is. It's coming from the tranny I believe, just in the middle where the oil cap is:
It sounds like rattling and when I push the clutch in, from the middle of that point, the rattling gets a little louder. I'm very very worried about this, I mean I only have 8000 k and i've never abused my clutch. For now, i'm borrowing my parents car so my bike is sitting in it's garage until this is fixed. I am going to call the dealer on Monday to make an appointment but I was hoping someone here would know what it could be, thanks!
